General Cardiologist – Up to $400/hr | 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off | Illinois
SCI Health Partners is seeking a Board Certified General Cardiologist for a long-term locums opportunity in Illinois.
This is an excellent option for a Cardiologist looking for a consistent 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule with compensation up to $400/hour. The assignment consists primarily of outpatient General Cardiology with a small number of inpatient consults and limited after-hours telephone call.
Compensation
Up to $400/hour
Schedule
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Monday–Friday
- 8a–4:30p
- Approximately 40 hours/week
- Monday–Thursday may be considered
- Ongoing need anticipated for approximately one year
- 2 positions available
Practice
Responsibilities include:
- General Cardiology clinic
- CAD, hypertension and heart failure management
- EKG interpretation
- Echo interpretation
- Stress-test supervision
- Approximately 1–3 inpatient consults/day
Time is blocked within the clinic schedule to accommodate inpatient consultations.
Call
After-hours coverage is primarily telephone call with the hospitalist and is expected to be relatively light.
The primary purpose is helping determine whether patients can be admitted and seen the following morning or require transfer for a higher level of Cardiology care.

Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Active Illinois medical license
- BLS
- Epic experience
- Comfortable with General Cardiology, EKGs, echos and stress testing
